Last Tuesday as I sat in the little town of St. Cloud, Wisconsin with every day folks who want good representation, and those who “represent” them, I saw a few things maybe that some might have missed. I saw a couple moments that exemplify exactly what the problems are in our counties, our states and our nation.
On Tuesday, July 22, I had the absolute “honor” to be in the same room once again as State Senate Majority Leader, Devin Lemahieu. The comedy of pettiness was on full display. (I almost typed out laughter). He has a good memory when he wants to, and I guess it’s been long enough between Russ Otten’s living room in January, 2022, when after I got done talking about my then two year old daughter needing a voice as my motivation to fight against election corruption, (Devin’s’ response was “are you done?”) and this past Tuesday listening to what came out of his mouth again.
Devin, (when he actually shows up to things) as he always does, pretends that I’m not in the room - which honestly warms my heart - but when the real candidate running for the 27th Assembly district, Lindee Brill, walked right in-front of him to say hi, he blatantly ignored her. Partly I am sure (and I don’t want to give myself too much credit here) because I am 100% supporting her, but also because he has openly and outwardly supported the lackluster candidate running against her. Petty example number 1.
On to example number 2. When Brian Hilbelink (if you remember - previously referred to as Brian #1 in our substack last week, which if you haven’t read it yet, you can in my archives) was finished reading from his notes, he was asked question(s) about why his mailer had the wrong picture of “Brian #2” on it, his answer was a well rehearsed “I’m not sure what group did thatttttt…Wisconsin Stronger Funnnndddd???” Then turning to one of his handlers, goes “Devin?” To which the deer in the headlights responds with something along the lines of (in paraphrase) “candidates have no control over who donates and no control over who “randomly” assists in campaigns.”
I’m telling you folks, you can’t make this “stuff” up. And then just to drive the point home, Eric Toney, the Fond Du Lac County DA decided that he also wanted to get in on the response. Meanwhile “Brian #1” is standing at the microphone silent - allowing his “random friends” to defend his lack of control of his own campaign. Kind of like when I was in 3rd grade, and I hid in the closet during class to be funny, got caught and then hid behind my dad and peeking out around him every so often “innocently” when he was defending me to the principal. You’re welcome for the visual comparison. The difference between examples is one of us was actually in third grade and couldn’t answer for himself and the other one isn’t….but I digress.
So back to the topic at hand - “Unity.” The unity that was shown by Those who “have gone before us” “our bold and fearless leaders” who “know better than we do” and who can “explain” why “random” things can happen - let me tell you folks something - there may be statistical impossibilities in elections like 186,000 ballots being dropped at 3am on November 4th and only 10,000 of them were for Trump - but even that isn’t random. And that is an absolute truth - ask ANY statistician and they will tell you the same.
Here is another absolute truth - there are ZERO coincidences or randoms when it comes to politics. Especially when it comes to “unity”. (Wink wink…wink).
Oh - and the answer that they have “no clue who this stronger Wisconsin fund is” and that it’s random - yeaaaaaa. No.
First photo is “Brian #1” again - and no that’s still not him in the circled photo - and just a couple more examples for other candidates this primary season…a few out of 9 primary races that I have seen and/or counted …
Uniform - yes. Random - no. I have many other examples. But not enough space. But stay tuned. There’s more.
When the question arose about RACC funds, a good point was made by Ty Bodden (about the only sane elected voice in the room that night), that the idea and purpose of RACC is good, but it’s who is running it (Vos) that is bad.
However, getting back to my dear friend Devin Lemahiue…his face got red and he started getting annoyed at a constituent when she dared to ask about it and its purpose in sending selected candidate “Brian #1” an in kind donation of $1,000 which he says was an app given for candidate training.
Stuff started coming out of his mouth like “RACC IS GOOD! It helps get republicans elected! Only TWO state senators haven’t donated - and I wouldn’t say I retaliate against them or not…(then stopped himself mid sentence - what a shock…) but the purpose it serves is good!” (That’s interesting he would even feel the need to justify himself “randomly” about “not retaliating”)??? But anyway - on and on and on and onnnnnnn….he went…
Ok the in kind donation from RACC - otherwise known as the Vos PAC of coercion, otherwise known as the vice grip, otherwise known as the control mechanism … might very well be for an app for candidate training … but we will save that topic for Part II’s article coming in the next day or so.
The point of Part I is to show that there’s nothing random about this “fund” that is run out of Florida, yet uses an office address of Eau Claire, WI. There is nothing random about all Vos donating or accepting candidates running in primaries having THE EXACT SAME verbiage.
There is nothing random about sycophants spouting out “explanations” as to why it’s random either. There is no random reason for a DA or state senate majority leader to get involved in question answering for a candidate either. Maybe it’s cause he needs to hide behind them. Maybe it’s because they didn’t want him to screw up the answer.
Or as it’s been said to me recently and before - maybe “it’s all just a misunderstanding and nobody knows what happened…” Sorry…nope.
In the scene from Grumpier Old Men where Walter Matthau is driving to the restaurant with Ann Margaret and she says “maybe there’s a logical explanation for all of this” about her husband not coming home from Maria’s the night before, his response is “you know it must be nice living in never never land. Maybe I’ll come visit you sometime when I need a break from reality.” To which she responds finally in a moment of clarity “step on it…”
The difference between that scene and real life is two fold - 1. We are in Wisconsin and they are in Minnesota, and 2. Jack Lemon wasn’t lying and cheating on Ann Margaret in the movie (he just couldn’t hold his liquor), but these politicians are by all means lying to you AND cheating on you.
Folks, I have been at this for a long time in capacities that would take longer than a years worth of subs to describe and one thing is for sure - there is nothing random about any of this. There is nothing random about politics. Not at the highest level of government all the way down to the lowest level of government, and everywhere in between.
If it was random, Devin’s body language and apparent temper when annoyed - while usually controlled and stoic - I will grant him that one compliment- wouldn’t have tipped so easily when “answering” the question bearer.
If we want the wagon train of corruption to end, we need to elect We the People candidates and cut off the supply chains to Madison.
Elect people opposing the establishment who will go there to represent you.
In this race for the 27th, that is a clear choice. Lindee Brill or “Brian #1.”
Choose Brill over Vos.
Brian #1” was told to run for a reason. “Brian #1” is being shielded for a reason. “Brian #1” is going to deliver more of the same and not bring any fight to the table when it comes to defending you when you need it the most. “It’s not personal. It’s only business.” - Michael Corleone. In this case - the business I am speaking about is not racketeering or corruption, like we are used to. The business I am referring to is the business of the people.
If unity existed in its pure form, Devin Lemahiue may have just simply offered a return hand shake to Lindee. Because that is called being human.
Their idea of unity is circling the wagons around their own kind and those naive enough, who they recruit to drive the wagons while excluding those who don’t want to play their game. “Brian #1” is one of those wagon driver recruits.
If unity existed in its pure form…
I’ll explain further in Part II.
James you probably noticed a lot of "random" things just happened at the same time in Butler Pennsylvania too!
